Position Overview

The Yard is expanding, and we are looking for a dynamic and motivated Location Manager to spearhead the launch and lead operations at our brand-new Jurong facility. This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of building a location from the ground up shaping systems, processes, community relationships, and the customer journey from day one.

As the Location Manager, you will be at the heart of launching The Yard’s newest site. You will oversee daily operations, membership growth, financial reporting, and customer service, while also setting up essential systems and embedding The Yard’s culture in a new community. Working closely with the Marketing and Leadership teams, you will ensure strong uptake across classes, camps, and events, positioning Perennial as the new flagship location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the launch of The Yard Perennial, establishing all systems and processes for a smooth opening.
  • Drive community engagement by building partnerships with schools, parents, and local groups.
  • Work with Marketing to ensure strong sign-ups for classes, camps, and birthday parties.
  • Oversee daily operations, financial reporting, and membership management.
  • Recruit, train, and motivate a high-performing team across customer service, sales and coaching.
  • Manage programs, camps, and events to deliver outstanding customer experiences.
  • Support business development initiatives and contribute to long-term growth strategies.
  • Provide coaching support when needed, ensuring safety and quality across all programs.

Skills & Attributes:

  • Proven leadership and operations management experience, ideally in sports, recreation, or customer service sectors.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to set up systems and processes from scratch.
  • Excellent communication and community engagement skills.
  • Confidence in financial management and performance reporting.
  • A passion for sport, youth development, and creating memorable customer experiences.
  • Flexibility to support events, camps, and occasional coaching.

KPI Requirements:

  • Successful launch of the Jurong facility, with strong uptake in memberships, camps, and events.
  • High customer satisfaction and retention rates.
  • Year-on-year growth in memberships and event revenue.
  • Effective financial management, including timely resolution of outstanding payments.
  • Ongoing staff training to ensure quality delivery and program coverage.
